Virtual photo exhibition «Cities and Rivers: Perm and Louisville»

The photo exhibition is a part of the project «Perm-Louisville: Cultural Heritage of Sister Cities», which won the XXIII city contest of social significant projects «The City Is Us».

The exhibition represents the photographs of Perm and Louisville taken by amateurs and professional photographers.

Nine Permian photographers Vladimir Bikmaev, Natalya Yesina, Tatiana Bezrukova, Alexey Utkin, Pavel Zhigalov, Elena Musikhina, Inna Pechenkina, Svetlana Kryazheva, Natalya Krylova, and Louisville photographers Michael Brohm, Michael Losavio, Tom Dumstorf and Nick Kleppinger submitted 130 recent pictures that show the beauty and charm of the cities.

The color and black-and-white photos show everyday life in the two sister-cities and reflect the role of the river in the life of the city.

The two rivers are the Kama River and the Ohio River. All great cities are located on rivers and it is the rivers that play a tremendous role in a city’s life. The rivers always attract residents being a wonderful recreational destination.

We have selected and printed 20 best works for the exhibition. Citizens and guests of Perm will enjoy the remarkable views of the two sister-cities.

The exhibition will be on display from October 3 to November 30 in the art foyer of Perm Krai Library named after A.M. Gorky.

An expanded version of the photo exhibition in the virtual format includes 70 works.
